Leander Independent School District (LISD)

Leander Independent School District covers over 200 square miles. LISD serves Leander, Cedar Park, Jonestown, Volente, and some children from Liberty Hill, Georgetown, and Round Rock. Leander Independent School District contains 47 schools and 40,355 students.

School Board elections are in even numbered years on the November uniform election date. Candidates are elected at-large. These dedicated volunteers are not paid for their service.

The next election will be November 5, 2024.

First Day to File: Saturday, July 20, 2024, is the first day candidates may file an application for a place on the Nov. 5, 2024, ballot for the Board of Trustees Election however, since Leander ISD offices are not open on weekends, applications can be submitted starting Monday, July 22, 2024 at 9:00 A.M.

Deadline to File: Monday, Aug. 19, 2024 at 5:00 P.M., is the deadline to file an application for a place on the Nov. 5, 2024 ballot for the Board of Trustees Election.

ACC Service Area & Taxing District

The ACC service district is approximately the size of Connecticut and covers all or portions of six Central Texas counties: Bastrop, Blanco, Caldwell, Hays, Travis, and Williamson.

In Williamson County, the following Independent School Districts are part of the ACC community: Austin ISD, Leander ISD, and Round Rock ISD.
